Solent Sports FC: Youth

Welcome to the home of Solent Sports Youth Teams.

Solent Sports FC

About the teams

Solent Sports Youth are always looking to recruit new teams and coaches.

We are starting to build a solid pathway from our Soccer School  all the way to vets and walking groups.

For the 25/26 season we have teams based in Hamble, Havant and Gosport and they play in the Mid Solent, Southampton Youth and Hampshire Girls league.

Home Grounds

We have three “hub” sites that our teams play out of.

Hamble: Mount Pleasant, a fantastic ground with ample parking and a children’s play area. Dog friendly.

Gosport: Brune Park school, Gosport is a brand new floodlit 4G in the heart of Gosport. It has parking and changing rooms on site.

Havant: Havant Academy. This is a great venue with grass pitches, plenty of parking and changing facilities.

We also access other venues if these spaces are unavailable.

Players

We are always looking to add players to our squads.
At the youth level, our ethos is development over winning, and we hope that we have created the best learning environment for you to progress, learn, and become the best player you can be.
If our squads are full, you are still welcome to train with us and join in any friendlies until a place becomes available.

We are very supportive of players who want to take the next steps in football and are active in supporting players to progress. In the past two seasons, we have arranged a number of trials for our players at professional teams.

We provide a minimum of one training session a week and expect players to be working on fitness and ball skills in their own time. Our subs are £300 per year, split into manageable £25 monthly payments rolling over 12 months. But if teams behaviour is good then this is reduced to £250
This includes:
-All training costs, including winter (3G or Astro) training.
-Game subs, including friendlies and some tournaments.
-Your own match kit which you keep

We have extra training kit that can be purchased from the club shop (link at the top of the page).
We also have a boot swap scheme to try and reduce waste and help with what can be the most expensive equipment.

Coaches

Good coaches who can develop young players are the lifeblood of grassroots football.
We are always searching for good coaches to join us, whether alone or with a team.
Our unique club structure allows for team development throughout the county.

We believe in investing in our coaches and cover the costs of all essential training courses and DBS checks.
We also support coaches in obtaining higher coaching qualifications whenever possible.<b

If you would like to join us, please send us a message and we will invite you to the club to have a look around.
