Solent Sports is proud to work with the City of Sanctuary and Rural Refugee network to support those seeking sanctuary in the Portsmouth area. 

This group meet once a week to play football in a safe environment, we have coaches with lived experience who support the players to find their feet. 

We have supported a number of players graduate from this group into league football and they represent Solent Sports FC in competitive football.

To achieve these aims we:

– Promote mental wellbeing within our community

– Collaborate with partners to better support our communities

– Challenge discrimination and stigma

– Promote social inclusion
