Sapphires Reach the Hampshire Plate Final 💙⚽

Our U15s Girls Solent Sports Sapphires are into the final of the Hampshire Plate!

The Sapphires secured their place after a hard-fought battle against Brockhurst FC, taking a narrow 1–0 victory in a game that could have gone either way.

It was a proper cup tie.

Both teams battled from the first whistle to the last, with Brockhurst pushing hard and making it incredibly difficult throughout. The decisive moment came courtesy of a brilliant goal from Ava — a strike worthy of winning any semi-final.

From there, it was backs-to-the-wall determination, resilience and teamwork as the girls held on through a nail-biting finish.

Credit must go to Brockhurst, who competed brilliantly and played their part in an excellent game of youth football.

The Final

The Hampshire Plate Final will be played in May at Gosport Borough FC — a fantastic venue and a brilliant occasion for the girls to experience.

Reaching a final is a huge achievement, and everyone at Solent Sports FC is incredibly proud of the squad, the coaches and the families who support them week in, week out.

Now it’s time to prepare for the big one 💪
