Season 26-27 Week 1 Mens Round up

Solent Sports FC’s men’s sides kicked off the new campaign this weekend across league and cup action, bagging 16 goals and securing two statement wins from three fixtures.

SSFC Titans 6 – 3 Marchwood Rangers (League)

The Titans got their league campaign up and running with an absolute nine-goal thriller against Marchwood Rangers. In a high-tempo, breathless contest, the Titans’ attacking unit proved far too sharp to contain. While Marchwood kept things competitive by snatching three goals of their own, the Titans controlled the crucial passages of play and finished ruthlessly to secure a well-earned opening-day three points.

Blackfield & Langley FC 4 – 1

SSFC Butchers (League)

A depleted Butchers side faced a demanding opening league test on the road, falling 4–1 to a clinical Blackfield & Langley outfit. Missing several key players through injury, the squad battled hard throughout and managed to breach the home defence, but the hosts capitalised on key transitions to build an unassailable lead. Plenty of grit on display to take forward as the squad look to get bodies back fit and regroup ahead of next weekend.

SSFC Pompey 9 – 0 Hatton Rovers (Cup)

SSFC Pompey kick-started their cup run in spectacular fashion, producing the performance of the weekend with a 9–0 rout of Hatton Rovers. Relentless from the opening whistle, Pompey pinned the visitors back and converted wave after wave of pressure into a masterclass in front of goal. Backing up a ruthless nine-goal barrage with a spotless clean sheet punches their ticket to the next round in style.

With opening league points on the board and cup progression locked in, focus now turns straight to the training pitch this week as all three squads look to build early-season momentum.
